What to Expect
Your First Visit:
Please plan on coming 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete your new patient paperwork. Bring your physician’s prescription, your insurance card and wear comfortable clothes. During your initial visit, or evaluation, you will have one on one time with a physical therapist to discuss your injury or pain you’re experiencing. Observations and measurements of your range of motion, posture, pain levels along with your general physical history help the therapist to develop a plan unique to you and your condition. On average, most appointments last about an hour.
Communication with your physician:
The therapists are in frequent communication with referring physicians. Please advise your therapist if you have any upcoming appointments with your doctor. A re-evaluation of your progress will be noted in a progress note which is then faxed to your doctor for their review at the time of your appointment so that they are up to date on your progress and current status. Our referring doctors know that we go out of our way to work closely with them and their patients throughout therapy and rehabilitation.
